Brian Garcia was born and raised in San Jose, California. After high school, he worked in the radio industry as an on-air DJ for 5 years and was known as DJ Reckid. He decided to go back to school and study film. He received his Bachelors in Television, Film & New Media: Production at San Diego State University. His films have been selected to screen at the San Diego Film Festival, San Diego Latino Film Festival, Comcol Film Festival and now an Emmy Winner under student production category in 2011. He started his film career with GRB TV, where they focus on documentaries/reality shows. The following year in the summer of 2010, he worked with Fox College Sports as an assistant editor. He is now attending San Francisco State University seeking his MFA in Cinema. Since he's been back in the bay area, DJ Reckid has been DJing private and businesses events.
